Since 2017, Resourcetrust Network has served as a Steering Group Member of the Accountability Framework Initiative (AFi)Read more providing contextual and technical inputs into the design of the framework and related tools. Resourcetrust was key in the development of the AFi Smallholder Operational Guidance document. Resourcetrust has since worked with Proforest and the AFi Backbone Team at Rainforest Alliance to to consult with stakeholders on the framework in the West Africa subregion. It has since the launch of the framework in June 2019, being working with Proforest to support company uptake of the framework and learning. Resourcetrust has been testing the use of the assessment tools developed by the framework on the ground as part of the learning process of the use and framework and development of supporting tools.
Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR)
Resourcetrust is a member of the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR) Read more . It has since 2018 been working at the various working groups of the platform including the Smallholder Inclusion Working Group to bring local context of smallholder rubber producers in Ghana and the West Africa subregion into the development of the requirements of the platform. Resourcetrust has been working with smallholder rubber producers in the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) as a way of putting smallholders in Ghana in a better position to be part of the global sustainable natural rubber supply chain.
